A Hyper-Scale Data Center Project, led by the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship (MODEE), aimed to attract top global cloud service providers and develop large-scale, state-of-the-art infrastructure. Designed for an initial 50 MW IT load, supported by a 170 MW renewable energy plant, the project will support the rapid growth of cloud computing, digital services, and big data analytics across the region.
Prime locations identified include Amman, Aqaba, Ma’an, Tafila, Al-Mafraq, and Irbid. Aqaba and Ma’an offer strong renewable-energy potential, while Amman and Al-Mafraq provide superior connectivity, with Aqaba standing out with extensive international gateways.
